know your farmers, know your food
Bending Bridge Farm is owned and operated by Cameron Pedersen and Audrey Fisher-Pedersen. We met while apprenticing at New Morning Farm in Hustontown PA. We both have a background in ecology and love to spend long hours outdoors. Cameron's favorite vegetable is eggplant--we grow nearly a dozen varieties! Audrey's favorite farm activity is harvesting (and eating) sungold cherry tomatoes.
Our Farm is located 10 miles from Mercersburg in south-central Pennsylvania. Our land is nestled between two mountains in a narrow valley called Little Cove. The farm is a total of 100 acres--a mixture of forest, pasture, and hay fields--and approximately 10 acres are tillable for vegetable production. Due to its mountainous surroundings, our land is quite rocky and deer are a frequent problem. However, there is water for irrigation and we have access to buildings and equipment owned by Cameron's father. And it's a beautiful place to live!
We love what we do and love sharing the fruits of our labors with customers.
